Brisbane Heat

Brisbane Heat was the pioneer franchise of Big Bash League which at that time called as T20 Big Bash. The Queensland State is proud to have their capital city team Brisbane Heat.  The team has its home ground in Brisbane Cricket Ground and the Uniform Colour of the team is Teal.

Brisbane Heat played its 1st match against Sydney Sixer in 2011 at  Sydney Cricket Ground that was won by Sydney Sixer.

The famous Newzeland Professional Master Blaster Brendon McCullum is the Captain of the team and the coach is Daniel Vettori.

The key players for Brisbane Heat are;

Although the start of the Heat was quite poor because in the 1st season i.e. 2011-2012, Heat lost the 1st four matches and their chances to grasp the semi-final spot got quite blur when suddenly the momentum shifts in the favour of the Heat when they won 3 consecutive matches but unfortunately couldn’t convert the fourth and got out of the tournament.

One of the major shock to the team was the absence of the two superstars Brendon McCullum and Daniel Vettori. The team got 4th place at the end

The 2nd season of Big Bash League (2012-2013) proved to be the year of achievement as this was the Year when Brisbane Heat became CHAMPIONS of the Big Bash League when they defeated the Perth Scorchers in Final that was played on January 19, 2013. Venue: WACA Ground.

This was the best season of Brisbane Heat, as they couldn’t perform to well in the upcoming seasons. Looking forward to see the Brisbane Heat in action in the 2017-2018 edition of KFC Big Bash League.
